About this event
The second July session — same great format, a fresh group of campers! Mornings: Scratch coding projects using MIT's free visual platform, no prior experience needed. Afternoons: chess strategy, tactics, and blitz games. Friday: coding showcase, awards, and trophy ceremony. Book early for the early-bird rate.
Prerequisite
A basic understanding of chess is required — your child must know how all pieces move. This camp is not designed for complete beginners.
What to expect
- ✓Scratch coding every morning — build real games & animations (no prior coding experience needed)
- ✓Chess strategy & tactics every afternoon — openings, endgames, blitz games
- ✓Friday showcase: parents invited to see coding projects + trophy ceremony

What to bring
- →Bring a pencil and notebook for chess notation and project notes
- →Swimwear and a change of clothes — Blue Parrot has a pool for lunch breaks
- →Water bottle recommended; lunch, snacks & drinks are provided every day
- →No chess set or laptop needed — we provide all equipment
- →Drop-off from 09:45 · pick-up at 16:30 each day
- →On Friday, parents are welcome from 16:00 for the coding showcase & trophy ceremony
